Long Weld Tri Clamp Ferrules | Sanitary TC Weld Ferrules
Long weld tri clamp ferrules for sanitary pipeline welding, stainless steel, compatible with tri clamp connections.
Description
Long Weld Tri Clamp Ferrules
Long Weld Tri Clamp Ferrules (also called sanitary long weld ferrule, tri clamp long ferrule) are commonly used weld-type quick-connect fittings in sanitary piping.
One end is an extended weld neck for butt welding to sanitary tubing; the other end is a standard Tri Clamp quick-connect face, which is used with tri clamp clamps and gaskets for quick disassembly and assembly.
The extended weld section facilitates on-site pipe straightening and alignment, and reduces the deformation effect of welding heat on the clamp end face. They are widely used in clean piping systems in food, dairy, beverage, pharmaceutical, biological, and other industries that follow 3A Sanitary Standard. They are mostly made of 304, 316L stainless steel and meet FDA and ASME BPE cleanliness requirements.

Structural Features
Extended weld neck design: Compared with Short Weld Tri Clamp Ferrules, the weld neck is longer, keeping welding heat away from the ferrule sealing face, reducing face warping and deformation, and ensuring clamp sealing accuracy.
Convenient on-site installation and adjustment: The long straight pipe allowance facilitates on-site pipe alignment and leveling, reducing assembly difficulty.
No dead-angle integrally formed structure: Smooth inner wall, not easy to retain media, supports CIP/SIP online cleaning and sterilization.
Standardized face dimensions: Interchangeable with tri clamp fittings of the same specification, with strong compatibility.
Typical Application Scenarios
Main process lines for food and beverage and dairy processing
Supporting piping for pharmaceutical, purified water, and bioreactor applications
Clean fluid transfer lines for craft brewing and daily chemical products
sanitary piping joints requiring on-site weld alignment and frequent later disassembly and maintenance
Selection Notes
Space judgment: If the installation location is cramped and there is no straightening allowance, prioritize Short Weld Tri Clamp Ferrules; if the piping requires on-site correction and there is a large amount of welding, choose this long weld ferrule.
Tubing matching: The weld-end outer diameter must be consistent with the outer diameter of the matching sanitary tubing.
Polish grade: For ordinary fluids, choose Ra0.8μm mirror polish; for high-clean pharmaceutical and bioprocess applications, Ra0.4μm ultra-fine polish is recommended.
Pressure boundary: Standard models are suitable for conventional sanitary conditions; for high-pressure scenarios, please refer to High Pressure Tri Clamp Fittings.
Common FAQ
Q: What is the core difference between Long Weld Tri Clamp Ferrule and Short Weld Tri Clamp Ferrule?
A: The core difference is the weld neck length. Long Weld Tri Clamp Ferrule has an extended straight weld section, which protects the sealing face and facilitates pipe adjustment; the Short Weld version has a short weld neck and is suitable for narrow installation spaces. The Tri Clamp face specifications of the two are the same, and they can be used with the same clamps and gaskets.
Q: Can the tri clamp long ferrule be customized with an extended length?
A: Custom weld neck length and special polishing are supported; batch orders can be produced according to customer drawings.
Q: Can the sealing of the Tri Clamp face still be guaranteed after welding?
A: The long weld structure is designed to avoid the risk of high-temperature welding deformation. Under proper welding operations, the flatness of the ferrule face can reliably ensure sealing performance.
